Sunburn pain
As fun as sunbathing would be, the pain caused by extended sun exposure can be a true agony. There are millions
of people every year who get to suffer from sunburn pain owing to the fact that they either ignore or lack the
knowledge to prevent such situations. There are ways to deal with sunburn pain but anyone would tell you that
prevention is the first to start with. When does sunburn pain appear? The first symptoms of skin damage by sun
exposure is redness. Depending on the severity of the condition there may be blisters too. Then, soreness, a
burning sensation and the discomfort of having the clothes rubbing against the skin add up to the misery of the
condition.
In order to cope with camping sunburn pain more efficiently, cool down the affected area with simple water: no
soap or gels needed. Don't make the mistake of applying some cream before you do that as it will simply act as a
heat trap at the skin surface and the sunburn pain will be even more intense. Therefore, the first treatment
consists in taking a cool shower or applying a wet cold cloth or towel on the body parts causing you sunburn
pain.
Another home-made cure consists of a water and white vinegar mixture with one part vinegar and two parts water.
This solution applied and kept on the skin affected area with a cloth will alleviate the sunburn pain pretty
efficiently. Do not rub anything in the skin when you suffer from such a condition since you will only aggravate
the matter. Dabbing the remedy gently and then leaving it to dry naturally are the only two solutions under the
circumstances. This is the way to use the aloe vera gel that has such a great reputation for the soothing of the
sunburn pain.
Before using any skin lotions for the treatment of sunburn pain, keep in mind the fact that some of them may
contain alcohol. The problem with such products is that instead of soothing the pain they will dry the skin and
increase the discomfort even further. In order to avoid all the health problems that can derive from excessive sun
exposure, with cancer here included, it is wiser to take all the precaution measures and protect yourself against
the harmful ultraviolets and infra reds. If the sunburn pain persists and there are other symptoms associated with
it, you should contact a health care provider right away.
